In 2022, over 3 years ago, a call put into motion everything that brought Timba Move™ to life.

“Please design a training program for the Indian Army Officer Cadets?”

This call, from the premier India Army Officer Cadet training institute, wasn’t out of the blue. It didn’t happen overnight.

Behind the scene, we had worked hard to earn it. Demo after demo, presentation after presentation, and many reviews later, the Army gave us the green light. It was the most rigorous audition of our lives… and the beginning of an extraordinary journey.

A journey that laid the foundation of Timba Move™ — our Multiplanar Movement Training (MMT) system built on traditional functional tools – Indian Clubs, Mudgar and Gada.

Five Deployments, Sixty-Five Coaches, One Shared Goal

Since that first invitation, we’ve delivered five training programs across regimental centres and elite officer academies. More than 65 Indian Army fitness instructors, sports coaches and PTIs have now earned their Timba credentials, taking our method back to units from the Himalayas to the Thar Desert.

Every course was tailored to operational realities:

    • Field practicality: Program was designed in line with a soldier’s day to day fitness needs on the battle field, across harsh terrains.
    • Sports Application: Given Army’s rigorous focus on Sports, Timba Move was designed for application in sports, especially in Boxing, Volleyball, Archery, Fencing, Swimming, and Golf.
    • Easy Adoption: Given that the soldiers are usually deployed in remote locations, we designed easy to adopt training modules, that the soldiers can train with, even without access to a trained instructor.

Spotlight: Empowering the Future Officers of NDA

Our proudest moment? Designing a lower-body centric program for the female cadets of the National Defence Academy (NDA). To design this program, we consulted some of the best Coaches, Physiotherapists, Sports Scientists and martial-arts experts in the industry.

Using Timba Move MMT, Instructors and cadets learned to generate rotational force safely, absorb impact gracefully and transition seamlessly between planes of motion. Today, components of that curriculum run daily at the Army Institutes – proof that thoughtful movement design can rewrite the training playbook.

Why the Army Chose Timba and Why It Matters to You

    • Tradition meets science: Our wooden tools carry centuries of Indian wisdom; our progressions are calibrated with modern biomechanical data.
    • Built-in resilience: Rotational training fortifies connective tissue, making bodies ready for the unexpected—be it on a battlefield or a sports field.
    • Universal scalability: From cadets to colonels, from beginners to elite athletes, the same patterns scale simply by altering leverage and tempo.

When an organisation that thrives on readiness chooses Timba, it sends a clear message: this methodology works at the highest level of performance and accountability.

The Army demanded our best, and together we delivered. Now we’re looking for coaches ready to do the same for their communities.
